SEA ADVENTURES - BORACAY
|
SEA ADVENTURES - BoracaySep 10, '10 3:38 AM
I had a chance to see and experience the beauty of Boracay Island. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destination. I enjoyed the Island hopping, snorkeling, para sailing, helmet diving and banana boat ride. The island centres around the stunning white beaches which runs for several kilometers of perfect white sand, aqua colored water and plenty of coconut palms. The central beach area is where you will find many restaurants, bars, shops and services. It all adds up to a great experience of sunbathing, sailing, diving, water sports, relaxing and partying. Boracay has plenty of fine hotels right on the beach front to suit all budgets on room rates. Some are cheap, others cost the earth. I would love to go back to this paradise island again and again. |

FAMILY GETAWAY - PALAWAN
|
FAMILY GETAWAY - PalawanSep 10, '10 3:37 AM
PALAWAN - Me and my family were able to experience one on one connection with the centuries old Stalagmites and Stalactites at the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This is the most exotic and enchanting tourist destination. About 25% of all the animal species in the Phils. live only in Palawan. There are many tourist spots worth seeing in Palawan like El Nido and Coron. Also we went into an Island hopping at Honda Bay and we had fun snorkelling and diving into the sea of Snake Island which brings us totally into a different world of wonders.. One just has to try diving for once and its really an awesome experience. |
FAMILY ADVENTURES - BOHOL
|
FAMILY ADVENTURES - BoholSep 10, '10 3:35 AM
BOHOL - We've been to Bohol last January of 2007. It was a very unforgettable moment for our family and we enjoyed seeing historical places and the white sand of Alona beach at Panglao Island. We went to Chocolate Hills located near the Sagbayan Peak. We were able to visit also the Baclayon Church. We also went to Hinagdanan Cave, there were many bats in that cave. And we were able to see the man made forest. We rode a river cruise at the Loboc River which serves an Eat all you can lunch while cruising. Bohol is also home to the largest snake captivity, a 24ft phython named Prony, the biggest snake in Bohol, with the queen (gay) performer who was putting on shows and helped take care of the phyton. There are lemurs too, but between a 24ft phyton and a drag queen performer, they don't get much attention. I will never forget of course the cute little TARSIERS which is so small but has big eyes. |
MOUNTAIN GETAWAY - SAGADA
|
MOUNTAIN GETAWAY - SagadaSep 10, '10 3:36 AM
SAGADA - There aren't enough words to describe it. Scenic and culturally rich Sagada is famous for its caves, hanging coffins, magnificent rice terraces, pine forests and mossy forests. Sagada is a great place for relaxation and contemplation. Its perfect for those who wants to sit by the cliff and just reflect. It is also a great place for adventure seekers looking for a thrill. Its a great place for photographers. We were able to survived the Sumaguing Cave. Its hard to stay dry once inside. There were water pools, dipping area and curtain falls all hidden in the dark. I wish that the beauty of Sumaguing Cave stays forever. We also managed to conquer a 2 hour trekking along rice terraces to Bomod-Ok Falls also known as The Big Falls. Sagada is really amazing! |

AMAZING BANAUE RICE TERRACES
|
AMAZING BANAUE RICE TERRACESSep 12, '10 8:22 PM
THE IFUGAO RICE TERRACES - the 8th wonders of the world. Carved on the mountain side by hand. Before we went up to Banaue, I have a vague idea of what the Banaue Rice Terraces are, I thought you can only see this in only one area. That's the biggest mistake because the rice terraces are all over the mountain provinces. Batad is one of the village in Banaue Ifugao, it is so far the best and unique Banaue rice terraces. There are so many places to do sight seeing, nature tripping and picnics or simply enjoy the pleasure of natural fresh air from its surrounding forest. Make sure that you bring home a native product which you can buy from our native handicraft shops to complete your banaue experience! |
CROCODILE FARM AT PUERTO PRINCESA
|
CROCODILE FARM AT PUERTO PRINCESAJan 1, '11 1:44 AM
The farm has hundreds of baby crocodiles bred in captivity and placed in batches inside a huge tub and fed twice a week. They are then transferred into a bigger pool when they grow up to a mature size. The skeleton of a huge crocodile is the largest ever that was captured in the 90's. It has a length of about 5 meters from the nose to the tip of the tail and its leather skin hanging on the wall and was discovered to have eaten half a body of a human. There were also bones of sperm whale displayed in the other side of the room. It was learning experience, in a fun way. Guests can hold with the baby crocodile, ( mouth tied up ) and have their pictures taken for souvenirs. |
SUMMER GETAWAY - BAGUIO CITY
|
BAGUIO CITY - the summer capital of the Philippines. I recommend Baguio Country Club or Camp John Hay to be the best place to stay in Baguio because of the services and what the place has to offer..tourist spot, horse back rides, nice hotel/accommodation service.. You don't have to miss the Tam-awan Village and go straight for strawberry picking at the nearby strawberry fields. You can also buy strawberry wine here, even taho and ice cream with strawberry flavor.
It is nice also just to go SM and have coffee at the upper open veranda...nice city lights...and then just a few walk away from SM to Barrio Fiesta Pinoy Hotpot for a hot Bulalo for dinner . |
OFF TO BICOLANDIA
|
Daet - gateway to Bicolandia. It is the capital municipality of Camarines Norte
Mayon Volcano - 8,000 ft. loom majestically over the city. It is the worlds most perfect cone. Across the middle of Bicolandia is Camarines Sur. It is considered the largest among the provinces in Bicol. Daraga Church - is a bit historical relic itself. Built from volcanic rocks. Nearby lies the awesome Cagsawa Ruins, an 18th century church buried in lava from mayon's catastrophic eruption of 1814. Only the bell tower remains visible above the ground. |
PLANTATION BAY - MACTAN CEBU
|
CEBU CITY - Plantation BayOct 19, '10 9:03 PM
The City of Cebu is the capital of Cebu Island. It is connected to Mactan Island by the 2 bridges. It is often called the "Queen City of the South" I never thought I would be able to enter this man made paradise here in Cebu. Thanks to the company I am working with before (TOYOTA QUEZON AVENUE, INC.) I was able to board on an international cruise & was able to visit and enjoy the complimentary facilities and amenities of Plantation Bay for 3 days and 2 nights. At first glance inside, I never thought Plantation Bay was this big.Set in 11.4 hectares of secluded grounds, one of the largest privately-owned waterways in the world. There was a middle lagoon, a large one, a man made swimming pool made of salt water. On the middle of this lagoon is a restaurant and another pool. Within that pool is a bar where you can enjoy refreshing drinks while swimming. You can also venture out of the farthest part of the resort, which is the bay, to enjoy a swim out on open sea. All over the resort, you can pick your own beach bed if you want to lie down and relax under the heat of the sun or below the shade of a tree. I really enjoyed my stay at the Plantation Bay. |
A NIGHT AT EASTWOOD CITY
|
A NIGHT AT EASTWOOD CITYFeb 20, '11 11:43 AM
TGIF - Thank God its Friday! Feb. 18,2011 It's another wonderful dinner at Tramway Timog with friends. TRAMWAY GARDEN BUFFET offers an "EAT ALL YOU CAN" buffet with a variety of dishes from Chinese, Japanese and Filipino cuisine. Their food is absolutely delicious. After dinner, the group went to EASTWOOD CITY at Libis, a place where laughter fills every corner. We took pix at different parts of Eastwood and spent the whole night malling, laughing, playing, and bonding. We really had fun. |
