I believe that life is like riding a bicycle. How? Three things:
1. Balance - if your life is not in balance, the areas of your life would fall over, fall down, stumble, and you will stop moving.
Are you working too much or are you working too less? Are you spending time with your family and friends or trying to relax and rest? Is your life balance?
2. Consistency - the only way you can go far with your bike if you pedal one stroke at a time.
You can go fast from time to time and not pedal, you can take breaks now and then but soon after you have to resume pedaling. That goes in everything that we do, whether we go to school or go to work, we have to work in one project at a time, one duty at a time, we have to consistently pedal in order for us to go through life.
3. Momentum - when you ride a bike, you will hit speed bumps or humps along the way. Just like in life, we may hit something that we're not expecting, like accident, illnesses or sickness. We can't control the situation, but what is important is we get back on track as soon as possible.
Are you the type who gives up easily when something wrong happens? When you fall down and stumble, are you the type who just quits?
Just like life, we just need to keep on riding, we just need to keep on moving so that we will reach our destination.
Balance, Consistency and Momentum. Life is like riding a bicycle. Having confidence in yourself and having confidence in God, that we can do it and we can go the distance.
